TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Please read carefully, Karell Enterprises. d/b/a Karell Holidays, accepts reservations subject to these Booking Conditions. Prices for these packages are quoted in U.S. Dollars and are subject to change as provided herein. For all tours in this brochure, "Departure Day" refers to Day 1 of the itineraries.
USE OF THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS-DISCLAIMER. Third party suppliers, who are independent of Karell Holidays will provide the travel services in connection with all tour packages. & Such third party suppliers are exclusively responsible for providing services including transportation, lodging, meals, recreational activities, etc. & Karell Holidays maintains no control over the operation, equipment or personnel of such suppliers and therefore assumes no liability or responsibility for any personal injury, property damage or other loss, accident, delay or inconvenience, caused & by any wrongful or negligent act or omission on the part of any service provider. & You agree to look solely to the actual suppliers of the services for any remedy in the event of any loss, damage, injury or claim.
AIRLINE TICKETING/CANCELLATION. Most airfares used for these vacations are based on Advance Purchase Excursion Fares, and are subject to applicable cancellation penalties and the rules and regulations imposed by the airline. & If you cancel your reservation, a cancellation fee will be imposed by the airline of up to 100% of the airfare. & Any deviation from the set itinerary may also affect the airfare, and you will be responsible for payment of any increase in the airfare should you change the set itinerary. & Karell Holidays must issue all international and internal air tickets for your package. & After the air ticket is written, any change requiring ticket re-issuance (such as a change in travel dates, routing, stops, or change of name due to the name provided to Karell Holidays not being exactly the same as the name on the passport) will be assessed a $250.00 change fee, plus any change and cancellation penalties charged by the airlines. Such changes will be subject to availability as airline regulations require that the original reservation be canceled.
NON-REFUNDABLE AIRLINE TICKETS. All Karell Holidays packages offer domestic add on fares to and from gateways. & Should a passenger wish to purchase a non refundable domestic ticket on his own, please note that Karell Holidays is not responsible for any penalties associated with these tickets.
DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS. A non-refundable deposit of $ 300.00 per person, per tour is required prior to request of services. In the event of services requested not being available, alternative services will be offered. If alternative services are not acceptable, your deposit will be refunded in full. Additional deposits may be required by the suppliers on certain tours. & You will be advised of any additional deposit requirements at the time reservations are made.
FINAL PAYMENT. Final payment less deposit received is due 60 days prior to departure. A reservation will be automatically canceled if the deposit is not received within 7 days of confirmation. Charge card payments require a completed credit card authorization form, signed by the passenger and returned to Karell Holidays. Third party payments have restrictions.
REVISION FEE. A revision fee of $50 per person will be charged for each alteration or revision made to a confirmed itinerary. & A change of tour date or tour itinerary within 60 days of departure will be treated as a cancellation and new booking; regular cancellation fees apply.
LATE BOOKING CHARGES. A $50 fee will be charged for all bookings within 30 days of departure.
CANCELLATION CHARGES.
61 days and over..........................forfeit the deposit
60 days to 45 days prior...............50% of total package
44 days to departure.....................100% of total package
If Karell Holidays cancels a tour, an alternate tour will be suggested. If that tour is unacceptable, Karell Holidays will refund all monies paid to Karell Holidays by yourself or your travel agent. & You agree that refund of amounts paid to Karell Holidays shall be the exclusive remedy in the event of cancellation of a tour; no other or additional damages shall be recoverable.
REFUNDS FOR UNUSED SERVICES. No refunds will be made for unused services once travel arrangements have commenced. If you make any changes to any portion of your vacation after you have departed, such changes will be completely at your own expense. Refunds are not available for services provided in the vacation prices not utilized by you.
DISABLED TOUR PARTICIPANTS. & Because Karell Holidays is not the actual service provider and does not control the actual service providers, it is not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, lodges, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. & You should be aware that not all motor coaches and mini-buses are equipped with wheelchair ramps and other service providers may not accommodate the needs of disabled tour participants.
TOUR PRICES. Prices are per person, based on two persons sharing a room. Single room supplements are listed where applicable. Prices are based on tariffs in effect as of January 1, 2009. In the event of increases due to fluctuations in respective exchange rates or increases imposed by the airlines, suppliers, or the governments of countries visited, tour prices will be adjusted and surcharges may be imposed.
ACCOMMODATIONS. The hotels/lodges listed in this brochure will be used for all departures. & If a change becomes necessary for any reason, hotels/lodges substituted will be the equivalent or better than those shown. Accommodations are based on double occupancy of a twin-bedded room with private bath at hotels, lodges and camps. & Supplemental charges for singles are listed with the price of each itinerary.
BAGGAGE RESTRICTIONS. There maybe a baggage restriction on packages that include air transfer to Safari camps. Passengers will receive the appropriate weight allowances upon confirmation of booking according to the requirement of their particular tour.

EXCLUDED FROM THE COST. Federal Inspection Fees for U.S. Customs and Immigration; International Air Transportation Tax; Agricultural Tax; Security Fee; airport taxes; Conservation fees and entrance charges to Kruger National Park; passports, visas; vaccinations; tips to your tour director, tour drivers, and local city guides; laundry, beverages (these extra items will be billed to you before leaving the hotel or restaurant); optional excursions; all other items of a personal nature. Tips for guides, drivers, game rangers and trekkers, porters, hotel and lodge staff are not included in the tour price. They are left to your discretion.
TRAVEL ADVISORIES. It is the responsibility of the passenger to be aware of the US State Department travel advisory for the countries visited. Please contact us should you wish to receive a copy. Alternatively please access travel.state.gov
FINAL DOCUMENTS Passengers will receive final documents 2-3 weeks prior to departure date.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS. All passengers require a valid passport with at least one unused page. This passport should be valid for six months upon return. It is the passenger’s responsibility to have a valid passport and the necessary visas for the countries being visited. Karell Holidays accepts no responsibility if you do not have the correct documentation for your vacation. It is the passengers responsibility to ensure that the names given to Karell Holidays match the names as they appear in the passenger's passport. Re-issue fees will be charged once ticketed if names do not match.
TRAVEL INSURANCE. Karell Holidays strongly recommends you purchase travel insurance providing coverage for loss cancellation fees, medical expenses, lost baggage and other potential travel-related losses under certain circumstances. Such insurance must be purchased at the time of your initial travel reservation. The scope of coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS. You should check with the consulates and/or their local health authority for the latest health requirements. At the time of printing, proof of yellow fever inoculation is required when traveling from Tanzania to Kenya or Kenya to Tanzania. Anti-malaria tablets are recommended for Kenya, Tanzania, and the game parks of Southern Africa. For further information we suggest that you contact the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at 1-800-311-3435 or visit their website at www.cdc.gov. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to find inoculation or health requirements for the countries visited.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK. Please note that safaris in the African wilderness necessarily involve risk, including the risk of accident, property damage, personal injury and even death from, among other things, wild animals. You agree to assume all of the risks and to waive any and all such claims against Karell Holidays and its parent company Karell Enterprises
