Zambia is a landlocked country in southern Africa. It was originally known as Northern Rhodesia and was part of the UK until independence in 1964. It borders the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, Tanzania on the north-east, Malawi on the east, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia to the south, and Angola on the west. Formerly Northern Rhodesia, the country is named after the Zambezi River. Zambia has excellent National Parks and of course “Mosi oa Tunya" (The Smoke that Thunders) aka the magnificent VICTORIA FALLS.

Entry Requirements: All passengers require a valid passport and visa to enter Zambia.
Passports must be valid for at least 6 months and should contain enough blank pages for visas and immigration stamps.

Photography: Bring plenty of film and batteries as it is expensive and the hotels and lodges do not always stock all film types. For Digital photography bring plenty of memory cards and extra batteries. A small digital hard drive backup is also an excellent way to ensure that your pictures come home safe and sound!
Clothing/Packing: Generally throughout the year casual comfortable clothing is worn, cottons and linens are the best materials to pack. Sweaters and jackets are necessary for morning and evening game drives, as the weather is often chilly. Earthy colors such as khaki, olive green, and beige are more suitable for safaris while comfortable walking shoes are essential. Rain gear is always a good idea. Depending on the itinerary you choose we will provide you with an appropriate suggested clothing list however, sun block, hats, sunglasses, binoculars, a travel alarm clock, a small flashlight and insect repellent are a must.
Tipping: Tipping is discretionary however 10% is acceptable in restaurants.
Apparently tipping in hotels has been banned in Zambia so please check with the individual establishment concerned.
